Leave it to local law enforcement to buy the $30,000 version instead of the much cheaper Sport models... Reminds me of the fire chiefs that try to justify their $60,000 outfitted Tahoe over the Crown Vics that used to make the cut.

its probley a sticker package like the do the the mail Jeeps, not really real rubicons...

On Catalina Island I think they could justify the rubicon. They are responsible for some rough terrain there. Anywhere else a crown vic would make the cut.

They surely need a Hemi in there and a light bar and big bitchin' tires. Really, i think it should be black and white. black wheels massive brush guard bumper that can take out crack dens.

If I were a tax payer there I would rather the sheriff drive a malibu instead of a rubi. That way I could have done more work on my jk w/ the tax dollars saved... but I've seen the govt waste money in a lot of sillier ways before.

I wonder if he does the jeep wave?
