Cheap yet durable 35s??
was looking at different tires in 35s. i was wondering what is the cheapest yet most durable tire someone can get? or is there a website that just sells tires really cheap for 35s?
Usually cheap tires = poor tires. Softer sidewall that offers little resistance to punctures or cuts. Lugs that chunk away when spun on rocks. Poor mileage out of them.
I do admit, my last set of 33" Definity Dakota M/T (Pep Boys) lasted 33k and had 10k to go. Did well off road. But did chunk away a little and did have a couple cuts, though didn't leak.
But at 35", you're looking at close to $200, at least, for a DECENT tire.
$1,150 installed for 35" MT/R Kevlar.

My buddies rip on me because of my Terra Grapplers sometimes, but honestly they are really good tires. they're pretty cheap too. in slick sloppy mud they gum up, but as long as you keep your momentum you'll be okay. i go where everybody else goes, you just have to know how to use your tires and what you've got. Same tread as the Toyo all terrain, i really like my terra's. practically silent on the road, and they get good milage when you have them at the right psi. they looks better in person then in pictures,
I picked up my Hankook DynaPro M/T 35s for about $180/each... and they've been an impressive tire so far - been on the trails a couple of times and no chunking, tears, rips or any other issues. Con is that they are on the heavier side, but a lighter 35 will probably come at a price... literally! Have heard of people getting very good life out of these tires and their road manners are very good as well.
