Auxiliary Fuel Tank
Has anybody made a second fuel tank for a JK? The space is very limited, but it looks like we could add a small tank on the opposite side of the factory tank (exhaust routing would have to be figured out) or behind the axle where the factory muffler is located. I have two tanks on my daily driver and love the range it allows. Just considering a way to increase the fuel capacity of the JK without having to carry a bunch of cans. Any ideas?
ill try and dig it up if i can. cant remember the name of it but an Australian company makes one.
im sure someone will find it before i do.
Edit: that was easy

I was thinking about having a fuel cell made and placed on a rack above my spare. My friend had one made for his TJ and it is very clean and appears to be safe. His holds something like 12 gallons. When you need the gas, it is fed through a locking petcock and goes into your regular tank via removable hose. The petcock is lockable and the cell is made of thick aluminium. I like the idea of the other tank from Oz, too.

Thanks for the information. I contacted the manufacturer in Australia today and they said that their tanks are available through ARB and should also be available to ARB distributors here in the States if anybody else is interested.

How about a smaller tank? One that sits flush with the frame? Maybe make up some room by using a taller tank and a body lift...or a tj tank out back.
I'd really like to make a one piece belly pan flush with the frame.
