Ok here is what I have in mind or is it just ludicrous to think of doing it. First get a set of 2.5 Rockwells with a custom lift and coilovers, a cummins engine swap, and auto trans an atlas xfer, and maybe some 50" tires. I plan on using it as a dd and moderate offroad use several times a month. any thoughts?

Why would you want such a gigantic, heavy, unbalanced, daily driver for the street and only wheel it once a month? That's for a dedicated trailer rig that wheels all the time. Plus, why chop up the JK for that? Get an old CJ/YJ/TJ and go to town on it.

Because I have the JK and I'm bored over here in Iraq which leads me to think of the different many things that I would love to do just because I could. Unbalanced I am not sure about that. How would it be so? yeah the COG will be higher but the fact the JK would be awesome and would definately stand out in the crowd. and then Imma need a ladder to get into it as I am only 5'5" it would be funny for my neighboor to watch me get in and out of the jeep lol. As it is he already makes fun of me with the 3.5 Clayton lift I have on it. but hey I like it and I hop into it with a grin on my face when I get the chance to drive it.
If you have your mind set on it, then do it. What was the point of this thread then if no one can talk you out of it or steer you in the right direction??

I don't know why I even bother sometimes...

I was just wondering if any one has thought of putting rockwells under the jk or if it would rediculous thats all....
sounds like a big waste of $$$ to me
50's not a big tire selection, and a daily driver, good luck with that. sounds like it will be a trailer queen to me, make sure u have a HUGE winch and snatch blocks to help flop that monster back on all 4's
