Atlas transfer cases.
Are all Atlas t-cases twin-stick? I'm eyeballing getting a 4.3 2-speed. I don't understand why you'd need a 4-speed and have 10.+low range, but to each their own. Once you get into the 90:1 final ratio you're doing pretty good. There's guys with 200+:1, I think that's insane and not useable under a single gear. But, my opinion.
I want to know if all Atlas cases twin-stick? Makes it a little weird having to have rear output on HI all the time, then running it to low, then throwing front output to low to have low-range. A bit more than what's needed. But, I can live with that.

I have the 4:1 and manual trans in my JK. It's very low. It comes down to control. The lower ratio you have the more off-road control you have on obstacles. More so rock crawling and steep, slow climbs on things. I would like a little more gearing in mine, but it can be handled at the axles. For mud, normal speed trails, etc, the atlas doesn't have an advantage. Pure low speed crawling
95% of the trails I do with the club I'm in is rock crawling. We all hate water and we all hate mud. I'd say 75% of the rigs in the club, that are modded heavily, at most have a crawl ratio of 100:1.
I can understand having the Marlin in the Yota, but those guys are running 4-bangers and need the gearing. I don't think you need a crawl ratio of 200+:1 in a 6 cylinder application. The last thing I want to do is have to be at 5k just to have any sort of wheel speed.
At 4.3:1 with 4.88s in the diffs and the 4.46 1st gear, I'd be at 93.5:1, which I think it just perfect. But, if you guys can prove me otherwise, tell me how-so. I'm open to discussion before dropping $2k for a gearbox.

That's the issue, I want to find a Rubi case, but I can't. I've been searching everywhere, no one has any. Hence why I want to just saf 'f' it, and get an Atlas.
4.88s, 4.46, and 4.0 gives me 87:1, which I think is pretty good.

I have the Atlas 4sp with the 5.40 not the 10.00 and have it matched with 5.38 ratio rearends on 37's. Automatic. Love it. I had the 4-1 Rubicon T case to. It does work great, just wanted to disengage the front end. Look on there site you can go either way with the 4sp. When I shift to low though it will impress you. My 2 cents.
