I have the tf 2.5 coil and the guy that owned the shop that did mine told me even with a 2.5 lift, the rear driveshaft will eventually go out. It may be 30000 miles and a few years down the road, but it will eventually fail because of the increased angle. I have about 13000 miles on mine and I have not had any problems yet. I just keep some $$ back incase it decides its job is done. (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) I'm still pretty new to all of this so I'm sure someone with more knowledge may be able to more accurately answer your question.

your rear drive shaft will be fine many people including myself have run it for quite a while with no issues. I have even been running after adding coil spacers to my 2.5"coils so i'm almost at 3.5-4" lift and still no driveshaft issues.
they are supposed to become a problem after about 3-3.5" of lift so now I have set aside money for when mine goes...but you will be fine for a good long while before a driveshaft goes on a 2.5" lift
