Default Shrockworks mid width or LoD mid width

help me decide which bumper please, I like the looks of both these bumpers equally, I think the Shrockworks is a little more expensive than the LoD but thats not that big of a concern. I guess my only question is which one is the lightest.

I don't own either one...but I will say that the vast majority of people that own one seem to be VERY happy with them. From what I've seen in pics, they both make a great product.

Just understand that you may be waiting for a long, long time for a Shrockworks bumper. The word is that their current production time is about three to four months...but there are people on this board that have waited for eight months.

I'm a big Shrockworks fan. If you do call them up, don't be surprised if they tell you a very reasonable delivery time: There have been plenty of complaints of them not being very accurate with their delivery estimates. What W_squared wrote is consistent with what folks are reporting here on JK-Forum: Three to four months is typical, eight months in my case where a mistake occurred with my order (my third order from them, first time it has taken more than three months). You might check with Screamin' Lizard and see what they can do for you (they carry Shrockworks products).

But, the product you get in the end, IMHO, looks a lot better than any other bumper out there. It is heavy, however. So, if you want the best looking, best performing bumper and you can afford to pay up front and wait three to four months, go with Shrockworks. Otherwise, you'll probably be happier with the LOD. Here's my front and rock rails at Clayton, OK recently ...

As far as I'm concerned, Shrockworks needs to figure out a way to get their products out faster. I would never wait that long for any of their products. I'm not saying they aren't worth the wait, but i wouldn't wait up to 6 months for a bumper. I would go LoD.

i have a lod stubby and am very happy with it. you can buy it from david at northridge 4x4, and that is a bonus in my book cause you know he will stand behind it (i was missing bag of skid plate bolts sent them to me asap) and free shipping. i also have the rear which i am currently working on today. no instructions from them is a down side but i printed out wol (eddie's) write up and made it very easy. you can't go wrong with either but lod is deffinetly good quality as well. he may even have a batch in stock now i got my front in a few days and had to wait a month and a few days for the rear. better than 8 months to me. i went lod because of the time to get it (i thought both were equally well built and look great). good luck

I own a Shrockworks mid width and am very happy with it. Excellent quality product, it has cut outs for the factory foggers and I like the features and styling better than the others. I have not owned a LoD but I am sure you would be happy with either of them. Shrockworks lead times are measured in months not weeks, so be prepared to wait, but in return you get a top quality product.

About the first mod I did was to install the Shrockworks sliders. They have held up amazingly well for all I've treid to do to them. They impressed me so much that when I replaced my bumper with one that would drop the winch into it, I went with the Shrockworks middy. I also like the aux light mounts as well. Nothing extra sticking up above the front of the hood. Again I am totally impressed. Don't call Shrockworks, call Screamin Lizards. I had mine in five days.
