Ripp Supercharger Problem, jeep cuts out at 3250RPM
I had my ripp supercharger installed in the summer and since then I have put about 5 thousand miles on it. The problem I am having is that when I am at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle in any gear the car cuts out right out 3250-3300 and then picks back up again. It feels like is not getting enough fuel?? It only happens for a split second but it is definitely not normal. I am wondering what this could be, has this happened to any one else? The engine light is not on and the car is not in limp mode.
Thanks,

I had the same issue, what fixed it for me was resetting the ecu. If you disconnect both battery cables form the battery and then touch them together it will reset the ecu and problem will be gone.

Lets see if we can sort this out, we tried finding you in our data base but didn't have you listed, did you buy this system new or used - or through a dealer?
First off - our system is easily tech'd. The part throttle condition must be in Closed Loop - meaning your stock ECU is doing 100% of the tuning. This reads as an issue stemming from the install back. Since you have no CEL's its going to be hard to pin point it right away, but we'll try our best. Its running so it can't be too bad. However a JK that's running with a small condition - can and will run in a semi limp-mode. Meaning it will cut some of the throttle input and pull back timing, making the truck less responsive to the supercharger and ultimately wasting more energy.
Here's a few questions to help us help you.
At the point the issue happens 1/4 to 1/2 throttle is there
Boost - Is there boost present
What RPM - does it seem RPM related or throttle related
What gear are you in (Auto or 6spd)
What speed - Highway or city
What fuel setting - high or low octane setting and what grade fuel are you running.
Do you hear any audible detonation
Is gas mileage low
Does power seem down
Does it seem less responsive to throttle input
Additionally questions:
Who installed it
Are you the best person to tech threw
What tire size are you running
What gearing is currently installed
Auto or 6spd trans
Stock or modified exhaust_brand (including headers)
Thanks for your cooperation

off topic.. To you guys and gals running meth. Do Not use washer fluid. There is detergents in there that is not good on your internals. Go to a shop and buy straight meth and mix it with distiled water 50/50. Or order some boost juice.
could the problem above possible be a delay from closed to open loop. I know utecs are known for that. And will cause the same thing almost like fuel cut for a second.
