Default Superchip Lock in High question

Hi, I just ordered the Superchip tuner for the 07 Rubicon. I read where it allows rear locker engagement in Hi range, does the tuner have to be connected to allow this function, or does the tune modify the ecu to allow this capability (Which I prefer). I also have the Rugged Ridge SS Dual exhaust.

Thanks for the input.

It requires the tuner to be plugged in for 4HI locker engagement. Note it also only lets you engage the front or rear I believe, not both at once.

Thanks for the reply. I agree and was hopeful it would not have to be connected as I do not plan to keep the unit in the Jeep. I hope this is addressed in the future.
