Help, getting sea sick
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Guys,
I'm at the end of my tether.
We are trying to sort out some steering issues on a Rubicon Unlimited. (right hand drive)
The Jeep was fitted with an OME lift kit using the HD package. This set up gave the Jeep a 3.5" lift, but no relocation brackets were supplied.
When driving the Jeep on the motorway it feels like it is floating and constantly pulling to the left. The alignment is in spec with a bit more toe in.
Today we installed a front adjustable track bar and rear track bar relocation bracket to get the axles centred. This actually made it worse.
The next step is to adjust the caster, but is there something I am missing? All bolts are torqued to factory spec and there is nothing loose.
Your advice will be most appreciated.
Thanks

Usually, with a lift that high, you need to install adjustable lower control arms to set caster. You won't get that flighty steering issue, it will be on track. Have you re-centered the steering wheel?
Yes i did and when i got back on the freeway it was pulling left. I have to keep the steering at 2 o clock to keep it going straight.
When the steering was straighten the wheels was dead straight. When i left the alignment shop and got on the freeway it started pulling left. I then had to hold the steering wheel on 2 o clock to get it going straight
X2...Lower control arms are a big help with a lift that tall. Otherwise, your JK is driving around like you would be always standing just on you toes...

lca's aren't going to fix the pulling to one side issue. he's not talking about "flighty" steering. he's talking about it actually pulling to a side. like letting go of the steering wheel and wow, we're now changing lanes.
also, lca's won't cause the tire wear he's describing. he's getting uneven wear and cupping.
what happened with the ball joints and tre's?

The ball joints and tie rods are fine. No issues there.
