33x13.5 r17 tire on a stock r17 x 7.5inch wide
The recommended rim width depends on the specific tire. Ten inches is not the standard and it is actually on far end of the range.
Many 12.5 tires recommend a 8.0-8.5"+ width range, but many of us get away with the stock wheel width of 7.5".
Mounting a 13.5" tire on a 7.5" rim, IMO is pushing your luck, specially when you are only using a 33" tall tire.
The taller the sidewalls the more ability they have to bulge out to accommodate the narrow rim, which is OK up to a certain point.
That sidewall bulging will create additional heating of the tire and require additional clearance on the face of the fender well.
A short sidewall will force the tread to bulge, which will automatically lead to poor handling and accelerated wear.
There are a number of threads regarding this issue, since many of us like the stock wheels or prefer to upgrade the wheels later.

IMHO a 9 inch would be the minimum with that wide of a tire..
Find yourself a 33 inch tire with an 11 inch width and your good to go.
x2, what are you looking to gain with the 13.5 wide tire? The 12.5 fits great on the stock moab 17" wheels and is much wider than stock. A 13.5 would end up sticking way out beyond the flares and in my opinion look way too wide for a 33.
