Default Daystar Winch Isolater?

Does anyone have the Daystar Winch Isolater? I'm considering ordering one but was wondering how well it works. I've had good luck with other Daystar products in the past.

I've got one. I'm happy with it. It does exactly what it should, but isn't really necessary. Just cleans up the front end a little and secures the hook if you don't want it strung out a few feet to a tow point.

It also adds mass to the system when you are winching, same as putting on a blanket. That is why I got mine.

Hopefully I never find out how good it is and I never break the winch cable.

I have one on my 2 door and it holds the hook in really nice.

Cheap and easy solution.

I have been thinking of getting this for my hawse fairlead so that my steel hook doesnt tear up the aluminum. I have it reeled in pretty tight so not much of the synthetic rope sees sunlight.

Glad to hear they're pretty useful. I didn't think about the mass thing but if it's as heavy as the handle isolator for my Hi Lift then I could totally see that.

I ordered one off 4WD thanks to their 25% off sale.
