Default denying warranty in canada

i took my jeep into the tire shop for an alignment and was informed that the ball joints were pounded out,17 thousand on odometer (not miles) so i call the dealer and they tell me no warranty cause of lift i say umm no they say umm ya they say they will call the reginal manager but if they do he will void the whole warranty,so i say bullshit i wanna talk to the dude in charge but he is not in till tommorrow. So my question is do i have a leg to stand on or what? the money is not the problem the jeep is a constant money pit and a couple of ball joints are not gonna kill me, it is the whole principal of it and i plan on fighting this for as long as it takes but i would like some info to go in with

You changed the geometry of the vehicle. They can't be responsible for damaged after the fact.

there is a formula to tell you what gears you need to get close to stock performance any one have it ?
from one of your earlier posts.... I'd say mission accomplished, so why does the dealer need to pay for it?
go ahead and try to get it covered under warranty...if so good for you, but you certainly can't be upset if they deny it with the mods you have on

Geometry aside, they (well in Australia) would have to prove that the modifications you made to the vehicle where actually why the joints suffered failure in the firstplace. for instance, if you changed the exhaust and all of a sudden the engine died (I know, bit out of context, but I digress) and they then refused to replace the engine due to the pathetic increase in power from an exhaust install, they would then have to prove that the exhaust was the point of failure. In which case, you would be liable for the damages. Though if it was a faulty product, they would be forced to replace it. Depends how much lift you have I guess. I have a 2" lift in mine, and I know that if all of a sudden my ball joints died, I'd be going in with pointing fingers. . . just a point to consider...
