Default Shock recomendations

I know the stock units aren't bad..But I just put on some New 33" MTR's and rather than wait until they start cupping due to weak/stock shocks I thought I'd see what some of you have had success with..I've been a huge Bilstein fan for years..So I lean that way but I know there are some other really good shocks on the market that are worth a look..

I know alot of you run 35's and with the extra weight and size of the tire a good aftermarket shock is a must..

Let me know what you are running and why..

I have run the OME and the Bilsteins on my JK; I like the Bilsteins better.
The OME was a very plush ride but felt a bit underdamped to me. I was originally steered away from the Bilsteins because I was told they provide a firmer ride, which they do, but after having the OME's that is exactly what I wanted.
I would describe the ride as firm, but not harsh, and very well damped.

Can't speak of the Bilsteins but I thought it was a drastic difference going from the POS stock X shocks to the OME. Thus far I have been very happy with them.

I have the OME lift and Bilstein 5100s also. I'm very happy with the ride and would highly recommend this combination.

The diggressive valving found in the bilsteins seems perfect for offroad aplications like the JK.

Thank you all for your input..

Now I'll check around to find who has the best price on the 5100's.

If you are looking to purchase shocks - I just got Bilsteins from Shockwarehouse.com for half price. I put them on last Friday and I like them alot. I got the shockwarehouse info from someone who posted a thread on this site - also free shipping, can't beat it. Hope this helps you.
