Default ARB Bull Bar + syn rope anyone?

Anyone running the ARB front bull bar with synthetic rope? I'm going to swap my cable and roller out for synthetic and a Hawse, but I'm worried about the recessed mounting surface the roller sits in; any issue with the rope touching the recessed edge of the bumper on an acute angle pull?

Pics of anyone's setup as per above would be appreciated.

I have that Northridge beauty on my LOD, it's a beefy chunk of aluminum which I had no problems with although I don't have an ARB

i've been researching this too.

you can also check out new rollers for your bull bar as another option.

here's a thread about it.

I've seen rope get pinched and the beginning of some fraying take place when syn is pulled through a roller fairlead. I'm going to order one of those billet jobbies from you David, can you make a recommendation on the proper line and thimble as well? I think the 9.5ti I sourced from you is 150 feet of, eh, 5/16ths cable(?).

Thanks for the replies guys.

Congrats . . . another very nice looking JK (bring this one if you come visit us in the South - don't want any trees sneaking past that stubbie front bumper and lodging in between the wheels and engine compartment).

I just got the ARB bumper for my JK and am now shopping for a winch that will fit. I really like the Superwinch 09034SR EPi9.0S Series with a synthetic rope, but do not know if it will fit into the ARB. I see the photo here of the white JK with a Superwinch, (looks great) but don't know if its the same model. Anyone?
