Default EVO axle sleeve installation

Are there any write-ups about how to install these sleeves. I am getting ready to install new ball joints, and am wondering if I am up to the challenge to do some axle reinforcing while everything is apart. Has anyone done these? What are the opinions on how much of an improvement these would be? Is there an installation guide somewhere?

Pull the shafts.
Stick a rag all the way into the tubes with a wire attached.
Drill 1/2" holes into the tubes.
Pull the rag out with all the shavings.
Slip the new sleeves in.
Weld plugs.
Weld sleeve ends to outer tubes.
Drink a lot of beer.
