Default any experiance with "Recon" winches?

I know that it would be going against the popular opinion to even concider one but at the price 375.00$ shipped, and the upgraded line ,synth rope, aluminum hause, snatch block, gloves, 6.5hp,10,500 line pull, and only 62lbs, I am seriously concidering one.
I am looking for an experianced opinion, my next option is the xrc8 but I don't like wire rope, honestly it scares the poo-poo out of me.

I think they are from the same factory as where the Smittybilt XRC is made.
