Default 6 inch lift for 2010 Rubi

Hey everyone knew to the site lots and lots to read, just wondering if someone has some info on if they offer a six inch lift for the new2010 Rubi? if so does it still work with the electronic sway bar disconnect? and besides upgrading the drive shaft what else might i run into that i need to change? i have not bought my jeep yet but im saving up for one right now hoping to purchase in feb or march. anyone that can lead me in the right path that would be great!

With 6" lift you will need also:

- adj. trac bars
- adj. control arms
- longer brake lines
- longer swaybar links (yes, the e-disco will work)
- with 35" or 37" tires: new gears
- longer axle breath lines

BTW The 2007-08-09 or 2010 Rubi, it's the samething (just a few minor differences)

I'm running a 6" TeraFlex long arm suspension system on my 2009 Rubicon Unlimited. There's more to a lift of that size than just the name. First do a ton of research, like you are here, and get a lot of opinions from people ACTUALLY running the lift they're commenting on - not just because they heard the gossip from a friend of someone's friend who they think used brand X.

TeraFlex is a very well trusted name in the off-road suspension world and they stand behind thier products. They have a dedicated representative here on this forum (Joe Thompson - just search for member name 'TERAFLEX') who is more than willing to answer any questions you have in order to educate you on what goes into a monster lift. And I say monster because a 6" lift on a JK is MONSTEROUS! Stock, a JK can fit 32"-34" tires and with a mild (2.5" lift, some have run up to a 37" tire. That was unheard of on previous versions of the Wrangler.

With that said, besides the lift kit itself, plan on upgrading your differential gears front and rear plus your drive shafts (4"+ requires front and rear). The TeraFlex 6" system includes the brake lines and sway bar links as previously suggested as needed upgrading. You also need to ensure you have adjustable control arms so that you can restore driveability to your JK along with the ability to adjust for caster and camber.

There's a ton of threads in this forum on the subject of lift kits so search away my friend and GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks alot for the feed back guys! there is almost to much to read about on here and dont know where to start!

did some reading and like what you said jk freedom there all the same pretty much, so what should i look for if i end up going used? what certain points should i be looking at underneath?

and ya after doing some reading JPT seems like the guys with only A 2.5 lift and 35s are going more places than alot of people with other rigs that are lifted real big like a 4Runner. ha there is a pic of a rubi on here with a Runner in the backround thats huge. i actually just got rid of my Runner for jeep.
