Default $900. bonus...want to put it in the JK. Suggestions.

Hey folks. I got a $900. bonus for Christmas and am primed to drop all of it on JK mods. I would like a 2.5 Teraflex BB, and a front bumper. (winch mount preferably.) I will install the lift and bumper in the garage. Is there a good quality bumper out there that wont break the bank for $500 or less? If I could do a used bumper I'd be a happy camper. Then maybe I could a rear as well. Help me out. I'm running completely stock right now and want to get the biggest bang for my buck! Any vendors out there want to hook me up I'm all ears!

If you are going to install the BB, you may want to invest the rest is some quality tires.

Tires will give you the biggest bang for your buck!

A good set of tires with a sprinklin' of common sense will reduce your immediate need for a winch.

Thanks for the tire suggestion. I already have 33's on my stocker rims in the Jk budget though. Help me out with bumper suggestions if you got any. I would like full width if I could afford it! Thanks folks.

Default Bumper

Hey Bud!

I personally like the LOD bumpers that have the winch mount.. the best part about the bumpers is you dont have to get rid of your stock fog lights even though the lights suck you dont have to waste parts and have to try to sell them... just a suggestion i am looking at getting the lod full lenth bumper myself so post some pictures once you have it installed!!!

Alright. Sounds good. They are a little steep for my budget. I was looking at the Rugged Ridge XHD. Are they flemsy? They look ok and seem to be closer to my price range. I hate to be a poser and buy something based soley on looks but I NEVER just "hit the trail". I hunt ALOT but rarely drive over rocks and logs so I dont need a tank up there. I would like a winch to help out of the mudd or up a slippery hill, so I need a bumper with a mounting plate but I dont need anything crazy beefy or anything like that. Thats why I think that XHD might be the one for me.

If you go with a BB, an aftermarket heavy bumper and winch will weigh down your stock coils and make the front end low, possibly making your front end look unlifted. This happened to me and I had to add new coils to the front, which made me need trackbars. I suggest getting a coil lift and waiting on the bumper. It will save you money in the long run.

before or after taxes? I got one of those too, but after the tax man got it it was only half of what I was expecting, so I couldn't buy any of the things that were on my list that I made after I got the notice.
