Lift kit ride feelings
How does the jk ride with your lift kit,Let us know I put a 4 inch on my tj and bounced all over everyone said it was better than stock mine felt so bouncy my wife didn't drive it any more which is good but I want the same ride as stock on my jk let us know.
I have a skyjacker 2.5". It definately rides stiffer than stock....which works out ok on the road for good handling but is a little rough offroad. I would suspect they geared the kit more toward the DD crowd.
A lot of how your Jeep will ride will ultimately depend on how tall you are in relationship to the components you have (i.e. type of coils, short arms or long arms) and of course, what kind of shocks are you running. I'm always surprised at what a difference something as simple as installing a good set of monotube nitro shocks will make in the ride of a Jeep.
Having said that, I'd have to say in my opinion, one of the best riding shocks you can buy without breaking the bank are Old Man Emu's. I also really like the Full Traction M-Force shocks I am running on my TJ now

Part of the problem with the JK is the springs are very soft and the shocks are overdamped from the factory. Most companies are increasing spring rate which has its pros and cons. It will take a while to figure out who designed the springs well.

What's the deal with the new speed sensitive shocks? My Rubicon handles fantasticly on the street. I had a06 Sebring off the lot while they fixed the dent in my Jeeps Cowl, and I could barely stay in the lane around corners in the Sebring. Is that from mushy or soft shocks? My Saturn L200 never felt like that. I guess it was stiff like the Jeep.
Are the new shocks supposed to be stiff at high speeds and soft at low speeds for the trails?
Also, I read somewhere that there are 22 different Spring rates for the various JK models. When looking for a lift, what spring rwate should I look for. I never even see any info posted on that. Or is that in the detailed specs that you get when you buy the kit?
