Question Rancho Oil Pan Skid

Colleagues,

Do any of you

1) Have the Rancho oil pan skid installed? and;

2) Ever bash it really hard on the rocks?

I can see the elegance in their design, as somewhat similar to Nth Degrees TJ oil pan skid; but I'm also a big fan of a layered defense. Bonding the plate directly to the OEM oil pan would still seem to transmit a fair amount of energy right on through.

Thoughts?

thats a sweet oil pan but the rancho is perfect really. I have the skid row oil ban tranny skid. And i love it but i do stupid things sometimes and here in the mountains its a bit diffrent wheeling then the boys wheeling rock all the time. Tree stumps, muddy water you cant see through, Small pointy rocks everywhere. The appalachins are a diffrent animal. Im not saying they are more hard core thent he rockys because they are not. But we have stupid things happen to us here. lol. So look at all your options. But i wheeled mine hard with nothing and never dinged. And to be honest if i didnt have a big chunck of my tranny boogered up i would have jsut got the rancho pan cover.

I have the Rancho Pan and have bounced it off a couple rocks. I am not sure how hard I hit really, but enough to put a small dent in a couple spots. I am very happy with it.

I would not say it is as good as the Benchmark pan above. But after running Rubicon and Fordyce a few times, I think I am good with what I have.

I have a rancho. It has been hit a few times. Not SUPER hard hits, but not love taps either. no problems here.
