Tried to put my spare on today. After reading some threads on the subject I thought it would fit. I guess I need a new rear bumper and tire carrier now. Figured I would post a pic for future reference for others.

Personally I wouldn't do this, basically making a bad situation worse. Really feel that these tailgates aren't made to handle much more than a stock spare.
Ok, this is news to me. So I am thinking about dropping about $2000 for new wheels and 35" tires (at least that is my max budget). So on top of that, I need to worry about my stock carrier not holding my spare and the best way to do this is either buy a new bumper/carrier or a reinforced carrier like the AEV? Which will run at least another $700 or so (for just the carrier)?
What does JEEP stand for again?
Has anyone here upgraded to 35" tires but dropped down in wheel size to 15" and used the sotck carrier with success? I can't imagine that the 35" tire plus 15" wheel is that much heavier than a 17" wheel with a 32" tire (on the Rubicon). Is it really that much heavier?
