Default Atlas 4 speed

Gents

Please Advise;

ATLAS 4 SPEED
( 1:1, 2.0:1, 2.7:1 & 5.4:1 ) or ( 1.1, 2.7:1, 3.8:1 & 10.3:1 )

Driving Conditions: 90% MUD Trails, steep hills, 5% Sand and 5% Rock Crawling. Oz Conditions not MOAB rocks

The Electronic Shifter has it been fixed heard some issues during search.

My Setup
37" Tires, Solid Dana 60, 5.13 Gearing, Petrol 4 Door Manual.

Can the same Atlas be used in future when I upgrade from Petrol Manual to Diesel Auto which has 460Nm of Torque?

I have the 4sp with 5.41. D60's with 5.38 ratio. 37" tires. Automatic. Love it. But I will tell you its a PIA to shift it when its new. I have the manual shift, non electric unit. When your in low low its slow as a turtle.

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ighlight=atlas Lot of info here. With mostly mud and sand you'll want the 2:1 that comes with the 5.4. I don't think you'd ever use the 10.3. As far as the electric switching, I like it now but it took some doing. Use a quality toggle of your own and wire it so you can only switch high to low with the engine off or only in park. You'll rip shit up if you shift that while in gear.

i agree. go with the 5.4 rather than the 10.3. you won't use the 10.3 for the wheeling you intend on. even if you veer outside of the box the 5.4 should still serve you well. also, if i were in your shoes, id go with the manual shift. may just be personal preference tho. regardless, a big on the future purchase of a badass new transfer case. keep tearing it up down under

I'm going to agree with everyone else. I haven't found a situation yet that I'd take MY jeep where I needed 10.3:1.

Thanks
Its was easier than I thought. So its going to be (1:1, 2.0:1, 2.7:1 & 5.4:1 )

The reason I am inclined to get electric shifter is bec there is no cutting or grinding involved. My plan is to upgrade to Diesel Auto in the near future.

So in order to sell my current rig I will bring it back to stock before selling.

Big Question: I am running Manual at the moment so will the 4 speed atlas will fit an auto later???

In that case I might weight a little longer and get a Atlas for Auto.

I'm pretty sure the transfer case is the same for both the M/T and the auto.

If near future is close enough, why don't you wait until you got the automatic and get the rubicrawler, you will be money ahead adn get better driveline angle.

but then, I 'm not sure if the diesel use the 42RLE or 545RE

The Atlas is very, very similar to the stock case in size and shape. It doesn't affect the driveline angle. The Rubicrawler also won't provide the 2:1 ratio that does an amazing job in sand, mud and snow.
