This information is the FAQ of this section.

The stock rims are 7.5" wide. There are some us running 12.5" wide tires on these rims.

It is questionable (for most tires) to mount 13.5" tires on these rims, although all tires are not created equal. There may be a few on this forum that have mounted 13.5s on the stock rims.

IMO, 15" wide tires on the stock rim is completely out of the question, even if you can get a shop that will attempt to mount them and they are successful in doing so.

Doing so can lead to tire overheating, extremely short tread life, poor handling and other unpleasantries.

Airing down a tire with sidewalls that are already bulging will move the flex point dangerously low can easily lead to sidewall and bead damage.

Out of curiosity, what specific 15" wide tires are you considering?

Those tires are massive.

Even if you could mount those tires on the stock rims they would probably bulge so much that you would have interference with the wheel well with 1.5" spacers.

This type of project might be a good suggestion for the Myth Busters crew.
