Default Q's on OEM & Aftermarket parts

Are there any oem parts worth looking into purchasing at the dealership or is aftermarket for everything the way to go? And do you go out of your way to purchase heavy stuff like winches and bumpers at a 4x4 shop or can good deals still be had even with the crazy shipping costs (sometimes in excess of $100 ) Closest shop I've located so far was ok4wd in nj which is about a 65 mi ride from Philly. Quadratec also has a warehouse much closer by but I'd still have to pay sales tax and they don't always make orders available for pickup. Thanks for any info!

The only reason people buy from the dealer is for the non-existent warranty...

I have owned Mopar Offroad winch with fogs front bumper, rear offroad bumper with tire carrier and the "enhanced" Rubi rails.

Of the three, the only thing I would buy again is the "enhanced" Rubi rails. I think they look great and I have litteraly beat the sh!t out of mine without any issues. I did buy mine used, so did not pay full MSRP.

As far as the bumpers go...

The front looked great, but I'm a big fan of the stubbie models. I did the stock bumper chop on my '07 X and now I'm running the "bare bonez" set up from PJ.

The rear bumper has taken a beating, so I give it credit. But, keeping the tire carrier rattle/squeak free has proven to be a moving target. In effort to keep it rattle free, I keep the latch super tight with a lot of tension. My wife can not even open it. For a few dollars more, I'd go with one of the units that swings open with tailgate in one motion. (Expedition One I think?)

The Mopar stuff ended up on my Jeep as I wanted the parts "now" and the local Jeep dealership is a client of mine. I also like to support local business when I can, so I shopped local.
