35 inch tire under stock suspension now, what's next?
I put new 35x12.5 MTR under my JK now. It is quite
close to rub. it seems
the following works needs to be done soon:
1. cut the pinch seam in the rear wheel well (somebody recommend bend instead)
2. push the front bumper forward by 2 inches
Any other things you suggest?

I put this Mud tire on because my previous offroad trip cost me two stock tires.
I know my JK does not have lift, winch, bumper, rock slide. But my area is mainly Mud, so I guess I can live with this setup for quite a while.
Regarding to the pinch seam, are you saying bent is better than cut. If so, could you please explain why.
Also, for bent, it must go inward I assume, right?
FIRST... put the tires on right. You have them on the wheels backwards... erm... inside-out technically.
The small strip of AT looking thread goes inward, not outward.
If you look at the text around the rim, you'll find some that says "This side out" and "This side in".

When I bought those Mud Tire from GoodYear Dealer, they told me they
can either mount tire on wheel in two ways
small strip of AT inward (better on road noise)
small strip of AT outward (better offroad traction)
Since I kept my stock whee/tire for daily drive and this Mud Tire only
faces offroad situation, I chose to have AT trip go outward.
You are welcome, glad I be of any help

This wheel has backspacing of 4.25, which I guess is common
i put my 35" MTR/ kevlars on while i was stock height as well. but i had a 3.75" BS on my wheels. a week later i lifted my jeep 5". while i was stock height i had no rubbing issues. unless i hit a speed bump way to fast. and then the tires rubbed the fenders. as far as for offroading like that. not going to happen. lots of rub will accure.
Cutting the pinch seam is a non issue..Once cut and filed smooth on the edges spray the spot with a few coats of clear krylon and your good. A hacksaw does a great job..
Using a hammer to bend a seam is not a good Idea and may cause more harm to the integrity of the seam, paint and the other welds..That and it looks like crap..JMHO.
You tires are mounted wrong...If you have questions contact Goodyear directly.
The MTR's are build and designed to be mounted on the wheel with a specific side being out. Much like your Tee shirt.. You can wear it inside out but its much better right side out..(How it was designed)
The MTR's are not "Mud terrains".....They are a "maximum traction" tire.
