contemplating doing this "mod". those of you that have done this DIY, how is it holding up? how many miles? what product(s) did you use? what method (sand and primer first or sand and straight to bed liner)? most of all pics!!! curious to see those sprayed over the jeep logo and those that removed it prior. thanks in advance

I did mine about 5k ago. So far it is holding up great. It's somewhat of a common mod on here, but I like that I don't see it on any Jeeps around where I live. The South must have received a great deal on silver or something. I sanded my grill down with a fine grit sandpaper (don't recall the exact grit), then I cleaned it all up with nail polish remover (wife's) and simply sprayed the bedliner on. I used Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating.

I used Dupli-color spray on... I have had it done now for a few months (fall and winter) It has held up w/o any flaws, I have put it through 4 or 5 automatic car washes, 4 times with a hand held pressure washer and all the shit that comes flying off these great indiana roads (including tons of road salt)

I just sanded it and sprayed it, about 4 coats total.

These are the only pics i could find...? Good Luck!

Did mine about 5k miles ago. One of the first mods I did. Just sand it down (I used 220 grit), wipe with rubbing alcohol, and apply 3-4 light coats of Duplicolor Spray on Bed-Liner. That stuff is the $hit! I like mine with the contrast of white and black.
