Default New AEV Tire Carrier For Stock Bumper!!!

It looks like AEV is making a new tire carrier that fits the factory JK bumper. It looks just like the existing tire carrier they sell with the AEV rear bumper. Has anyone here seen it in person yet? This is the only photo I could find of it, and it's an angled view.

What I'd like to know is if it will be sitting to the passenger side of the tailgate like the other AEV carrier does in the photos below. Because then it wouldn't line up at all with the dip in the factory bumper, and it would limit your tire size options.

Looks to me like it lifts the tire up off the OEM bumper enugh that a little offset to one side wouldnt really matter in terms of tire size capacity.

If you run a SEARCH you will find a recent thread where a member is interested in mounting the AEV tire carrier on an ARB bumper.

AEV could not provide details about an ARB installation, but they have done it on a stock bumper. I seem to recall that white JK belongs to an AEV engineer. I don't think it is available for quite yet, so you may not find an installation on a stock bumper.

The carrier is the stock carrier on the AEV bumper, they just decided to start selling it independently of the bumper. The expectation is probably that you will upgrade to their bumper in the future.

Like a few other manufacturers they are very helpful. Have you tried calling them?

I started installing this last night. Cutting the factory bumper was a PITA. Other than that the install is going well. This is a well engineered and sturdy unit. Will post pictures when it's done

This is an awesome option, to be able to carry a larger tire and not have to fork out for an entire rear bumper.
