Default Cheap used Truetrac....worth doing?

Like the title says, I've got a line on a lightly used Truetrac for my rear D44 for only $150. I really want an ARB or an OX but the budget just isn't there. If this was a lunchbox I'd be all over it but since it's going to require a lot of work to install, I'm not so sure. What do you guys think? BTW, my rig is an 07 4-door X with an automatic tranny, if it matters.

good price, but buying a used locker of any brand would worry me. You might be opening a can of worms. I would hate to buy someone else problem. And you won't know till you get it in.

I know the guy that owns it. He bought the Jeep with it already installed (and working fine) but now he's upgrading to a selectable.

Don't disregard the fact you have BLD (brake lock differential) which functions at least as good (IMO better) than limited slip, which makes waiting for the funds to get a selectable locker a lot easier.

It's a feature of traction control. When a tire on an axle begins to slip, the ABS computer will apply the brake on the spinning tire, forcing the other tire on the same axle to spin. It's on all the time on the rear axle, and on the front when in 4wd. All JK's have it.

It has made a limited slip differential unnecessary.

BLD isn't worth a crap in the mud, muddy hill climbs and such.
