Default Almost ready to pull trigger on lift and need reassurance

Ok, I am really close to ordering a lift, bumper and winch and need reassurance I am going with the right setup. This is too stressfull.

I am planning on going with the Rough Country 3.25 coil and spacer combo. I plan on putting a bumper on and winch. I am going to put the front spacer on (.75 inch spacer) but not the rear spacer at this time. This will level out my Jeep right? I figure I will save the rear spacer in case my rear RC springs sag. Will the above setup cause driveshaft issues at all (6 speed, 2 door)?

I am planning on buying the RR modular stubby bumper and putting a cheap Smittybuilt winch on. I know warn is better but I only wheel with other people so if it fails it fails. I will upgrade to a warn in 4-5 years or whenever the smittybuilt takes a dump. I figure if I get 2-3 years I got my moneys worth.

Am I going the right route for a lift? This is my daily driver and only vehicle but I also plan of offroading at least 1-2 times a month. I will probably updgrade to 33s or 34s in a couple of years but plan on sticking with the stock 32 inch rubicon tires for a while.

I have the 3.25 kit on my 4 door. I will say that it is a level kit with the factory bumper.

Some may frown on this, but you could keep the factory spring isolator on top of the springs AND use the 3/4" spacer on top of that to give that additional boost to accomondate for the heavy bumper. I ran a 3/4" leveling kit this way for about 3,000 miles, before isnalling my 3.25" lift kit.

Your front end will sag a bit with the added weight of bumper and winch. Keep that in mind. I don't know how strong your RC coils will be so it is difficult to say if you will compensate enough with the spacers you mentioned.

For what it is worth the RR Stubby bumper is great. I first had an ARB Deluxe and switched to the RR selling the ARB at a pretty big loss. I am very happy with it.

As far as the smitty winch goes many of the people I run with have one and have never seen or heard of one failing. Yeah warn has the name and almost the warranty of the Superwinch but for the money you cannot go wrong with the Smitty.

Bro, I would highly suggest going with the Teraflex 2.5 sprint lift (will actually sit at about 3.25) or the OME HD kit. YOu will be very glad to have the great ride as a daily driver and it will perform GREAT on the trail.

I have the smitty built 8k winch and it works great!
I can't say much about the front bumper since I have never had one, but you should check out jeepswag.com. Brett will give you a great price on his low pro, light front bumper that is a minimalist design.

Just my 2 cents for ya.

Iadventure is correct The TF 2.5" spring lift on my unlimited gave me about 3" in the front and 2" in the back. on your 2-door it will net even more and the TF lifts ride really nice. The OME lifts get great reviews but get a little pricey once you start adding all of the components you need. The tf 2.5" with shock extensions are like $450-475 and includes bump stop extensions, extended sway bar link etc.

I went ahead and ordered the RC 3.25 lift, the smittybuilt winch and rugged ridge stubby bumper. I will post pics once I get all of it on. May not be a for a couple of weeks because I am going wheeling next weekend so I will not have time to put it on so it will have to wait to the weekend after. I am glad the reseach phase is over. Way too much thnking involved.
