Default Inner Fenders

So I went and modified my fenders as per the write up. I am debating on putting back in the inner fenders. I like the access and plan to paint what is exposed black. What say you?

I replaced the fronts, but painted the rear wheel wells.

X2, wanted to keep out as much water and mud away from the electronics as possible.

fronts back in after running without, too much crap being thrown in there especially with the cat exposed. left rears off and this spring doing either herculiner inside rear wells or heavy duty black paint

Front and rear came out and stayed out. Its just another annoying piece of plastic IMO.

I spent some time making mine fit back, so my answer would be to put them back, but whatever you like.

I'm in the same camp as most:

I couldn't see a good reason to put the rears back. My guess is that they are there to help keep the interior quiet. THrowing rocks up into a plastic inner fender will be much quieter than throwing rocks up into the metal body tub. However, I don't care and the hassle of putting them back wasn't worth it.

I couldn't see a good reason to leave the fronts off. They are in place to help keep crap out of the engine compartment. That seemed a great reason to put them back. Use part of the outer fender to make a reducer to fill the gap left in the inner trailing edge. Done right, it'll work well and doesn't look stupid.

My thoughts of leaving the fronts off is that I was shocked one how much stuff collected with them there. With them off I can keep it clean a lot easier.
