Default What Steering Stabilizer are you running?

So I put a Mopar stabilizer on the JK and wow! does it suck!!!!

I hit a bump and the wheel jumps out of my hands, I am running a 4" RC lift but I never had the problem with my stock stabilizer...so what do you recommend, I have 35's...so I am putting the stock stabilizer back on for now but I want to make that front end stronger in the steering dept...RC dual SS maybe, anyway let me know what u r running and give some feedback...

I'm a ra tard...I just took the SS off the JK and went for a drive, lost control pulling out of the driveway so I go back and check bolts...TA DA!!!!!

When I put my Mopar stabilizer on I had to remove the lower trackbar bolt, when I put it back in I tightened it to 25ftlbs...not 125...

But I am one to admit my mistakes so if you end up taking the bolts out of your trackbar remember...125ft. lbs....not 25

SO I took it for another drive, absolutely no DW at all...

But I still would like some feedback on the SS setup you are running, I have seen the RC Dual SS with Bilsteins... but I dont really want to throw down that kind of coin...

I was about to say check your suspension components up front. Bumpsteer that bad would have to be a loose or worn part. Mine got smashed on my last outing to Rausch Creek. Im gonna go with the Teraflex heavy duty ss and get the relocation kit from jeep swag so its up and out of the way.

Can't offer any advice on the SS, still stock here.

How long were you driving with the bolt while it was loose? Even though you tightened it down to 125, you might want to check to see that the bolt hole did not wallo out.

KYB steering stabilizer works great and it's cheap. Bilstein makes one now but it's more $$

TF SS here, relocated with Wood's kit (Jeepswag). Only reason I replaced the stock SS was because it bent. Newer JKs are sold with a beefier SS, so it's likely a recurring problem for the earlier years. The TF SS is about 50% larger than the wimpy original.

Is there an increase in steering effort with your setup? Hoping that exact setup will tighten/stiffen the steering feeling a lil bit. My alignment settings are perfect but would like a lil bit more steering effort.

I put the TeraFlex one and it made a nice difference. Well worth the money and great folks over there.

That didn't affect steering effort. What returned my steering feel after the lift and large tires was getting some front LCAs and adjusting the caster.
