Default Aev Pro cal or Superchips?

I guess I'm just a little confused at what is the difference...
I have the AEV pro cal module and have set all my parameters with it, can't really tell much of a h.p. difference but my speedo and such is all good,

What is the difference between this and the Superchips Flashpaq???
Is there any?
and if so, what can the flashpaq do that the pro cal cannot,,, or visa versa???

Thanks...

Well there's about a 100 page thread devoted to this very subject but let me touch on the basics.

The Pro Cal is a tool like a caliper or a screw driver. It's designed to adjust, within the variables allowed, the settings of the JK's ECU.

The FlashPaq is a programmer. It completely reprograms and tunes the engine making settings which previously wernt variable, variable like the fuel/air mix ratio, spark timing, etc.

The ProCal will give you no performance gains at all because, strictly speaking, it doesn't adjust anything having to do with performance. It's designed to compensate for larger tires, gear changes, and tire preasure. The Flashpaq is designed to completely retune the factory ECU to allow for richer fuels, aftermarket parts (intake, headers, exhaust), as well as all those basic settings.

Just to add to Skippman's explanation, the Flashpaq can perform most of the functions of the ProCal, but not all.

The Procal is also more convenient to use for the functions it performs.

If you are only buying one, the Flashpaq is the way to go.

Not to mention, the Flashpaq can be updated to include new features as they develope....

If I am not mistaken the Pro Cal also has a setting for re-sentering the steering wheel. Not sure if this is necessary but might be useful.
