Default Body Armor Front Skid Plate Install

Ok, so my local shop has totally flaked out and in two days could not install my front and evap skid plates...of which I had already bought...gonna go ahead and install myself...the front skid that is. Question is...how to remove factory front skid and install the new Body Armor plate? BTW...no bolts came with the plate. How hard is this going to be for a tard like me!? Thanks for any help!

Most skid plates like that sold as aftermarket add-ons are meant to be used with the front bumper that they also make. I looked all over the body armor site and could only find install instructions for their front bumper, not the skid. The skid looks like it fastens in @ least 2 spots to their aftermarket bumper... I would give them a call or e-mail.

Is the evap skid from body armor? almost every evap skid I've seen is a simple bolt-on install. Most even use the same mounting bolts that fasten the evap to the body, you just unbolt, pop the armor over the holes, and bolt everything back in.

Yeah, I talked to a guy at Body Armor and he said, as did the item description @ 4wd.com, that it would fit on stock JK bumpers and would protect the sway bar motor...which is why I bought it (wondering how long before something punches thorugh the plastic stock skid plate!?).

Anyway, he said that you do have to cut around some plastic on the underside of the bumper in order to get "access to the holes in the carriage frame". I am a total tard as mentioned in previous post...thinking I am the guy most capable of screwing up the real easy and obvious!
