Default Anybody got 35x12.50x15 Kevlar's on a 2 door? Opinions?

Anybody have this setup w/ pics? I really wanna go the 35" route but some of the pics I've seen with this size on a 2 door look HUGE. I'll be putting on a Teraflex 2.5" BB soon and probably a RC1.25" BL later. Part of me says go the sensible path with 33's but, I know I'll wanna go bigger if I get those. So, convince me which is the better way to go. The best deal I'm finding right now is 5-35x12.50x15 Goodyears MTR Kevlars shipped for $950, with the $50 Discount Tire Direct forum discount and $80 rebate. Not a fan of the 33" white letters facing out either. Some of the other brand 33's are coming up more expensive than the MTR 35's! Rubi automatic daily driver, wheel once/twice a month. Thanks.

With TF 2.5 lift, your Jeep would look nicely proportioned with 35s. If you are debating between 33s and 35s, my advice is to go with the 35s now or you will be dissappointed with the 33s and upgrade to 35s later, anyway

17's instead of 15's. Just think little more tire and little less wheel.

Agreed, 17" wheels with 35" tires will have better road manners than 15s and 35s.

Is that really true though? Most 17" tires are Load E and the 15" are load C. Kinda locked into the 15" cuz I've already bought my wheels. Too poor to afford the 17" tire prices!

Here are pics of mine and I don't regret it at all. These tires are awsome in the snow.

35x12.50 R15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar. Less rim and more tire. Cheaper rims and cheaper tires. Everyone is going the big rim route, absolutely ugly, IMO.

Sorry, I missed that there you said the 15s were load C and the 17s were Load E. I agree with planman's take.

Default Pics of 35" MT/Rs

Hi Melonhed,

Here are a few pics of my JK with 35" MT/Rs on 15" Streetlocks under an OME LT lift.

There are a couple of other pics the album for the current build.

I hope these help with your decision.

(Sorry the contrast is a little too much... I'll be taking some better pics this spring.)

Take Care

Jeff
