i dont mind the ones we have now but i really like the older Hurst ones. you know.. like the 1.5ft metal rod with a bend in the middle and a small black knob on it? i want one but i have nooo idea how i would even go about putting one on or what to purchase. has anyone put a different one on or thought about it?

I just picked up a set of these three Drake Off Road shifters for the AT shifter knob, 4wd shifter and e-brake. I'll post an install thread on here soon so at least you can see how to remove the OEM knobs.

im waiting for my automatic shifter to come in, I have the adapter from gennie shifter, and waiting on my hurst pistol grip shifter to come in from summit. I was looking to get the drae pieces but they wouldn't match my ORE Transfercase knob, since its black billet and drake is natual. The Hurst knob will match because i ordered in black. I'll post pics once it comes in.

I have them as well, besides the e-brake that is. Easy to install and much smaller in the hand than the oversides knobs that come stock.

Put one on for my stepfather in his TJ (my JK is an auto)...got it from Quadratec and it is an old (very inert) pineapple grenade from WWII. Really easy to install and it fits surprisingly well in the hand! BOOM!

The thing about the Drake shifters is that at first I wasn't sure about the plastic tire tread around the top. Then I saw one first hand and realized it's not cheesy plastic....they're real rubber! And solid billet too! I snagged some more of their parts since at this point, my Jeep has just about reached it's mod limit and they'll give me the finishing touches....lol.
