Default Actual milage after regearing

I want real numbers on mileage after regearing. If you haven't changed your gears then please don't voice an opinion. I want cold hard facts. i regularly have to drive 100 miles from home to the airport for my work and I got to tell you the mileage sucks. Before the lift my mileage was 19.7 - 21.2, now it is a solid 14. What are your ratios, tires and the mileage that you get with them?

Also my driving is interstate driving through rolling countryside, no major hills and no mountains, and 70-75 mph is average speed.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

with 35" tires and 5.13's and a 6-speed, i think i could get an average of about 16 mpg if i drove conservatively on the highway. of course, now that i'm running 5.38's and 40's, i'm lucky if i can get 10 mpg.

on my orange jk with 35's and 3.73's, i average about 14 mpg on the highway too.

Im copying and pasting from another thread. I dont know what size Toyos you are running but here are my real world numbers. We are running the same terrain (central, MS).

4dr ulim
3.5 RK mid arm
33" pro comp
front and rear xhd bumpers
xr8 winch

EDIT: These are the numbers with my 2.5" tera BB (no springs)

Im running 5.13's with procomp xtreme At's the tire measures 32.25" on the Jeep. These tires arent any taller than stock but alot heavier and wider. My trip to work is only 15mi and 3mi are interstate driving.

The only reason for the taller gears is that I am going 35" or 37" in the near future. I just need to wear these out first.

I have great power but fuel suffers. Hills no problem with cruise. I have small hills - lot of flat spaces

Stock 3.73 gears @ 70mph 1900rpm - 18 mpg (lots of downshifting)

5.13 gears @70mph 2700 rpm - 16 mpg

If I take her easy 55-60mph and can squeek out 17-17.5 mpg

When the new 35's get on I will be in a more acceptable rpm range.

There is a link to a chart around this forum. I think its a Shockworks excel sheet. Its pretty spot on.

another funny thing is the speedo is spot on with my gps, but the odo is off so my mpg on the dash can't be right. dealer says they can't do anything with the odo. i need to figure my fuel consumption with the gps, just haven't done it. was really surprised at how much difference 1 inch made in mileage and performance, this thing is a dog unless i turn off the od.

4.10's /33's / 6-speed. anywhere from 10-20mpg. depends completely on how i drive it. i wasn't impressed at first when i saw 10mpg but started driving like an old lady and it shot up to 20 in no time.
