Default Teraflex 4" Lifts

1- JK 4" lift kit w/shocks $ 1,513
2- Jk 4" suspension system w/full flexarm system w/shocks
* drive shaft mods req. 2 dr
$ 3,016
3- JK 4" elite lcg long arm suspension system w/ shocks
$ 3,737
all canadian dollars. northridge4x4.ca

I am looking at one of these lifts for my stock x 6 speed manual.
There are drive shaft mods needed for the 2 lift.
Do I need any for the other 2 lifts?
Now I do not flex like others. Happy the way the stock runs so do not care to flex like the rubicon. I want a lift and put 35 or 37" tires on . I plan to regear from 4.11 to 4.88 (5.13) maybe. Also I plan on lockers frint and back. Not sure what to do there ether. ARB front and back or solid in the back ( aussie ).
Any suggestions would help. This is my income tax present to me

You will need new driveshafts in the long run. You have to keep in mind that the factory driveshafts were designed to run flat. I would suggest a kit with either Flex arms or long arms. You need to be able to adjust your caster/pinion angles.

at 4" you will need some way to adjust your control arms. Minimum is to adjust your caster angle for drivability and even better is all 8 short arms so you can reset your wheel base.

Long arms require cutting off old control arm frame mounts and welding on new bracketry. This can be a pretty involved job and expensive if you aren't a welder. But there are many benefits to the long arm. If you can stomach the added cost then go for it.

You'll be able to run your stock drive shafts for a while so if money is of concern then you can wait and just start saving.

so if I get either flex or long arm kit, that would be all I need. I should not have death wobble or any other problems. A one shot deal. That is what I am looking for. I seen on another thread that on a 2 door a 4" would actually be 5" and a 3" would be a 4". If so I might go with a 3" lift and save money fore drive shafts. You carry shafts too?

I can't really say money is no object but I wan't too do it right the first time. I will have to have some one to do it though and that will dictate the cost. I may have to wait on the lockers and gears. The lift should come first. I would rather have the lift than the lockers when I go to my first jamberee in maine. I am still fine with 4.11.

Correct on the 3" being a 5" on a 2 dr. Yes TeraFlex offers driveshafts.

#4240300 $383.99

TeraFlex now uses FORGED 1310 yokes with TeraFlex driveshafts. In the past 1310 yokes were cast ( larger air pockets in the material, poorly balanced). The forged yokes are a new TeraFlex product and not another companies. TeraFlex JK driveshafts are now balanced with the yokes installed for better performance. Timing marks are on the driveshafts in case the driveshaft is ever taken apart.

All TeraFlex driveshafts come with a T-case yoke and a axle yoke.

$556.99 each for any JK driveshaft.

You can get the shafts first before the lift. Put them on right away and make sure they work a-okay. Doesnt hurt! (keep your old ones for spares on the trail)

You could get away with the lift first however you risk a time bomb with your driveshafts.

I have coast driveshafts from northridge myself and I am happy with them so far. If you install these yourself do it properly so ensure you have the proper preload on the pinion. (not that hard but need a torgue wrench)

Long arm kit will be $$$ to install if you get it installed. If you do it yourself make sure you (or your buddies) are competent to do the lift (cutting, welding etc). Flex arm (no long arm) will be considerably cheaper in labour as it is bolt on.

After the lift (im not sure what these lifts come with) id make sure I have good quality and proper geometry track bars, drag links, high steer, extended brake lines, etc before spending too much money on aesthetics (wheels, tires, bumpers etc). I believe in safety first.

The 6 inch teraflex la is the most complete lift kit imo and includes everything. You can order the flex arm, 3"la, 4"la with all the components in this kit to achieve something complete I think (joe/teraflex would have to chime in here)

Good choice on the teraflex you will be VERY happy with this kit, and it his highly recognized and drooled upon by most avid four wheelers.

Just my opinion!

Thats the thing, I have all the other goodies already except the rear bumper. I am down to my last mods here. I have to figure out how to post a few shots of my jeep so far. I might go out and take some pics. I am kid of leaning to a 3" flex arm and have it installed. I can not do it my self as I have bad shoulders from years of hockey :rotfl mao2:

I would do the shafts and lift at the same time.
