Default Front Adj. Track Bar, is it necessary?

I installed an RC 3.25" lift on my 2010 JK Sport 2 door. With the lift I bought an adjustable front track bar. Because it arrived late I didn't install it yet. I'm not sure if I need it. The frontend is as close to centered as you can get.

What's everyone's opinions? Do I need to put the adj. trackbar on? If so, why?

If your axle is near center, then you may not necessarily need it. The whole idea of the adjustable trackbar is to center the axle after a lift. In my case, when I got the RC 4" lift, it came with trackbar brackets, which did a decent job of centering the axles, but I was still off about a 1/2" or so in the front and about 1" in the back. So, went ahead and got the front and rear adjustable trackbars.

If your kit came with the trackbar brackets, one thing you may want to do is add some extra welds to the stock bracket to strengthen it. Trackbar brackets are known to add more stress and there have been instances where the stock brackets have snapped.

If the RC 3.25 lift kit doesn't comes with any track bar brackets (which I don't believe it does), then your axle is slightly off center, although it may not be apparent.
A small lateral shift like that will should not affect the steering and driveline.

The majority of the stock suspension parts are good quality (better than some aftermarket parts) and designed for longevity, so I wouldn't replace any stock part without a good reason.

I'm thinking I wasted the dough on the front trackbar. I'll hang on to it for now and see about possibly installing it when it warms up...or not.
