If that is a crack, take that crack back, and tell em to keep that crack crap and order different rims. PRONTO!!!. That is not good
Although here's what your looking at:
If those rims are aluminum, they are not as sturdy as forged or steel wheels, in fact machined aluminum is rarely even stress relieved. Stress Relief is a process that passes current through aluminum while being vibrated at high speeds. This process helps on the molecular strength level. Now if those rims cracked due to off-roading or an impact (like an accident) chances are you'd have to make an insurance claim. Another avenue is to contact Rugged Ridge to see what they will do. Most manufacturers in the USA have Implied Warranties, which means if it says one year implied warranty, you could debate that under no misuse conditions, your rim cracked by its own manufacturers design and alloy components being liable for unsafe rims. It could be recalled if it is found to be common from its origin.
Such as, if 1000 rims were made overseas in China and there have been "x" amount of cracked rims from that same batch, then it shows that the manufacturing process or alloy components are faulty. It would be in RR's interest to fix the problem, rather than face class-action lawsuits once there are enough claims.

It looks like RR owes some new rims my friend...it does look like a hairline crack in the blog but if not you still have a blemished rim...talk to RR and see what they say...hey at least your rims fit..mine came in yesterday with the wrong bolt pattern
If you bought them in 2009 I'd take them back to supplier and get them to get you new ones. If you bought them online you may be stuck with them, dont know. I had this happen about 5 years ago on some crager hellcats. They cracked and took them back to discount tire and they got me new ones (all 4).

Very typical of machined alloy wheels, it is a fungus that grows under the clear coat finish put on the wheel...Most manufacturers offer at least a 1 year warranty on finish so likely they will take care of you. The bad news is that this will continue to happen on the wheels in the future. I sold tires and wheels for 10+ years and saw this a lot.
