Default 2 in re lift, what size tires?

need opinions:

i am getting a 2in re lift installed this week, and am contemplating between 33 x12.50 and 35x12.50 tires. what would you go with?

here are my current specs: 2009 wrangler x 4 door auto. rugged ridge front modular bumper with matching rear bumper and smittybilt xrc 10k lb winch. everything else is stock. its a daily driver with the ocassional weekend "adventure"

I would suggest 33s. 35s would be cutting it close with only 2" of lift and having those bumpers weighing down your suspension.

Also - 35s are murder on automatic trannies and would need a gear swap which is expensive for some. Also 33s would be more practical. I am going 2" with 33x12.50 myself as well.

Go 33's....I personally think the 2" is perfect for 33x12.50's....Also, 33's don't dog as much if you have 3:21's or 3:73 gearing.

I ran 35's on mine a couple months, then added a 1in body lift.

Go with 33's unless you don't plan on disconnecting.

I have a 2" BB with extended bumpstops and still rub with 33's on the flares at full stuff when disconnected.

My vote is for 33's. I ran the RE 2" BB for a while with 33x12.5's without any issues, it was CLOSE on full stuff though.

That was then--->

33's here no issues.. I think i'm upgrading to 37's though.. only running a 2" BB.. If you do the fender mod than you can def run 35's.. Give it some thought bc alot of people wish they went with 35's after there 33's wear down..

I like my 33's.........BUTTTTTTTT!!!!!! I wish I would have gone bigger. I don't have headaches worrying about gears or anything else with my 3.21's and Superchip though.
