I am looking to make or buy something to mount my spare rally style on the cage of a 4 door. I plan on running doors with a bikini top. I was wondering if anyone has attempted this. If so how did it work out and what would you change. And its a 35" tire.

 

you mean inside the cabin like the cherokees have??

im sure one can be rigged up no problems whatsoever
but if your using a soft top it would be a massive hassle both putting the top down or removing the spare for use

 

not like a cherokee. like a baja truck. running from side to side at a 45* angle mounted on the cage up high so i could still put stuff inside (maybe).

 

than im guessing that you wont be having a top on at all!

 

Just a bikini top. keeps the passenger area dry enough and the interior is bedlinered. If i know its gonna pour i just take my car.
