Power drop after lift and 35's?
Hey all
So it has been a couple weeks since i installed the lift and tires. I have certainly noticed a significant power drop since doing all this. I have a 2 dr standard with 3" lift and 35's.
Anyone else notice it?

Thats pretty normal after going to 35's. My Rubi was not too bad with the 6 speed and 4.10 gears after going to 35's. A lot of folks consider regearing their axles. Lots of threads and opinions on that topic.
I was reading and it seems the 4.11s should be fine where im at now? How is a regear really going to make a big difference with a daily driver and off road toy?
Seems it might push it too far one way

okay, I am going to take it you are new to the Jeep world but the good news is you have a lot of people on here with a lot of good information.
When you go to a bigger tire size then it came with from the factory it is going to change the power a lot and add a lift then things really change.
You need to regear to 4.88's if you have a manual and are planning on staying with 35's. if you plan to go bigger I would go with 5.13's.
If you do this will notice more power then you thought could be there, I have 5.13's, 37's and a 6 speed and it is a plenty peppy for me.

Many of the comments made in threads regarding the driveability of a stock 6-spd Rubi with 35s is that you are manually going to keep the revs up on the engine by adjusting your shift pattern to compensate for the change in effective gearing.
Many believe 4.88s are the best match for your rig.
