Anyone ever swap in some stainless steel braided brake lines on their JK's?

When I did this to my motorcycle it was a night and day difference in braking performance/feel.

I was just bored and thinking about improving the braking of this heavy 4-door beast.

If anyone has, when it comes to the JK, did you notice a significant improvement? Worth it?

durablilty and strength, since they wont expand like rubber

i plan on doing braided lines when i get a bigger lift.

 

I need to do it too, just for extra length, but I guess it makes since being stronger and not flexing any with the pressure... kind of makes you wonder why they would even use rubber in the first place?? doesn't seem all that safe now.... good reason to upgrade! Who and where do we get new lines from?

Got mine from Woods. Did it because I needed longer lines. Didn't notice much on stopping power (though I did install EBC pads and it does feel better).

 

i have them, no diference in stopping power. but either northridge or evo has some brake upgrades. possibly slotted rotors

 

that's not a bad price for the lines! wonder if I should go with the 5-6" lift even though i'm only about 4.5" ? wouldn't hurt to be a tad longer right?

 

Does it hurt to run longer brake lines then needed? Just curious bc I have no idea what I may do in the future

 

I wouldn't think so, as long as they aren't getting caught up in anything. I only have a 4" lift, but I bought 5" long lines... haven't put them on yet though.
