Warranty Regs for Lift Limit
This is my first JK, but not my first Jeep. Since my JK has the lifetime power-train warranty, I want to stay in the regulations and not void that out. Who can tell me the facts of how much I can lift up my JK? Should I have Jeep do the lift to CMA?
Has anyone done the leveling lift kit? The sales guy told me he did that to his JK and it was plenty of lift and within the limits. Does anyone disagree?

My sales guy told me if I stuck my head up a butchers a$$ I would get a good look at a steak, I'd take the bull's word on this one....
Lots of people on here have lots of different experiences. Myself- One dealership does not like my lift and will look to the lift if I have problems. The other dealership thinks it is great and have not questioned warranty work. Type a few keywords into the search engine and you will find your answers.

From what I've learned and heard from fellow JK'ers, try to find a dealer that is off road friendly. The dealership that I bought my Jeep from had several modified JKs. In fact, one was modified by COP4X4. They even sell trail maps in the parts dept.
All good information. Although I can't find a straight answer. The closest I get is to only deal with MOPAR and have the Jeep dealer install the upgrades. Then maybe, just maybe, it will stay under warranty.
I have no idea what "limits" he is talking about, and i have NEVER seen in writing anything from Jeep at all regarding what range of lift will or will not void the warranty.
That being said, MOPAR itself does NOT warranty it's performance parts at all.
Quoted from the MOPAR Performance Parts catalog:
NO PARTS WARRANTY – “AS IS”
Mopar Performance parts beginning with a “P” prefi x are sold “as is” unless otherwise noted. This
means that parts sold by Mopar Performance carry no warranty whatsoever. Implied warranties, such
as warranties of merchantability, are excluded. (An implied warranty of merchantability means that
the part is reasonably fi t for the general purpose for which it was sold). The entire risk as to quality
and performance of such parts is with the buyer. Should such parts prove defective following their
purchase, the buyer and not the manufacturer, distributor or retailer, assumes the entire cost of all

covered by the vehicle’s warranty.

all of Mopar's lifts carry the "P" prefix. IF the dealer want's to send it through as warranty they can, if not, they dont have to. That is why everyone keeps saying to find an offroad friendly dealership.

In the real life, there is no answer to your question.
It depends how your local dealer is mod. friendly.
For example: My local dealer is not mod. friendly. I go to another dealer (about 15 km from my home) and there is no problem with the warranty and mods.

My dealership has been good to me in the past, but they had a personnel change in the shop and the guy i knew that was the maint. supervisor left. Since then i havent had a bad experience, but they HAVE denied warranty work that i dont think they should have. Documented previous complaint that got worse, after the warranty ran out they refused to do the TSB fix for it, had nothing to do with my mods at at all, the new powers that be follow thier warranty regs to the letter. I persued it to an extent, but the part was cheap enough that it made the battle less tahn worth it, and i currently have bigger fish to fry so I am chosing closely where to expend my energy.
Well I am beginning to think that adding the lifetime warranty would be a smarter investment. The Rubicon is already built-up really well. Protecting that investment with a Maximum or Added Care warranty might be a better investment. Decisions, decisions...
My experience with any dealer I have dealt with is that they will do ANYTHING to try not to warranty any work at all.
I don't understand why as they get paid for the work from Jeep. What does it matter to them?
