Default Zone Lift Kit Questions

Hey everyone. I am planning on ordering the 3in Lift from Zone offroad and have a couple final questions. When I go to place the order, they ask for shock boot selection and quantity. I can pick either no shock boot or a couple different colours. Newb question, but what the hell are shock boots?
Also, I dont know much about backspacing. I currently have 16x8 wheels and 285/75 tires. So would I be needing any kind of spacers once I raise it 3 inches?
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks guys

They cover the rod portion of your shock. I don't run them, they tend to keep more crap in than out.

Boots are the rubber covers..take black..rims and tires are cool..new rims or spacers if you go larger tires.

I've got the exact same lift. Went with black boots 1.) to keep crap out and 2.) I think it looks better. The bare metal of the skinny little rods just looks cheap IMO.

Cool thanks alot guys. Now what about the spacers though. Would I be needing them right now with the wheels and tires I have now? I am not going to be going with bigger tires for a while.

your good now and maybe even with bigger ones ...you have aftermarket rims so maybe the backspacing is good..are you wheels close to the edge of your flares?

Also another question. Zone offers a steering stablizer. What exactly is that for and would that be something worth getting? Its only a couple bucks extra.
