Default Jeep community

So my wife and I had a fight over the Misstress (my jeep) last night. We had some friends over and all I talked sbout was the jeep. She told them all I think about is my jeep and spend all my time on this website. She then said "I thought we were getting a Jeep not a whole new Jeep Culture" anyone else had their wife get pissed over the Jeep?

We have never fought about it, but it was eye opening when she found out about all the support out there and how big the community really is.

My wife was not aware of the Jeep Community but she's ok with it.

Tell your wife that our community has it advantages .... if you had joined the biker's community, she would be sitting on a small piece of leather holding on for dear life!

My wife is a retired Game Warden, she loves the outdoors. We are members of a family oriented jeep club and wheel with our two boys (10&12) as often as we can.
18 months ago I flipped my 02 TJ with the boys, no one was hurt, but my insurance co. totaled it. I thought for sure that was the end of my wheeling. When the check came in, my wife said "let's buy a JK".

jhiero, my advise is to get her involved, join a family oriented club. Make her feel she's part of the "culture". She made be experiencing Jeep widow syndrome.

So far my wife hasn't complained about things, but if she ever did I'd politely bring to her attention how she spends nearly the same amount of time on her rubbing stamping/scrap booking forum...

Really I can't complain about the wife. She was pretty surprised by the who "Jeep Thing". So much so that she bought her own JK Rubi because she didn't want me having all the fun.

My financial adviser hasn't really done too much complaining, in fact my lease is up in april and she is constantly asking me what jeep i am getting to replace it. On top of that we are in the process of a total frame up restoration of an 87 yj which will be ready in about another month, i think she will have a great time with that especially after the many thousands invested so i know i'm good for future mods.

x2 get her involved..best thing ever is to let her drive offroad. we have several women in the DFW club, and most of them drive
my wife loves it, and even suggests mods for me

Only when new parts come home or show up on my JK do I get in trouble. Of course talking about getting other items causes problems.
