Default Superchips disables O/D on Auto Trans. JK's!!!!

I am editing this thread to better explain my intentions...

This thread is directed towards JK owners that have 35" or greater tires, Auto Trans. And 3.21-3.73 gears.

If you are like me (I run 50 miles daily on the highway, O/D is simply not usable, If I leave it on, the JK gear hunts the entire time whether the road is flat or not an it doesn't matter what speed I drive. I always shut off O/D and am sick of it. If I re-geared, it would be to stop the need to press the O/D button.

I would LOVE it if the Superchips Flashpaq had an option to DISABLE Overdrive on Auto Trans JK's.
(I dont mean make it part of a standard tune but make it an option like disabling the TPMS system)

Thanks for looking!!!!

I would LOVE it if the Superchips Flashpaq could DISABLE Overdrive on Auto Trans JK's.. Personally I NEVER use O/D and its annoying to push the button every time I get into the JK.. not to mention the yellow light on the dash.

Trying to find out if Im the only person or if Superchips will have an update once they see this thread..

Thanks for looking!!!!
I would hate O/D to be disabled by default, but if it's provided as user selectable option, then so be it. But if your tires are so big that O/D is usless, then you should seriously look at re-gearing. You'll get much more performance out of that then out of Flashpaq, and the ability to run O/D will improve your fuel consumption.

regearing will help, but making my drive shafts spin that much faster is not what Im looking to do. Im happy with the performance of 35's and my 3.73's as long as my O/D is off..

I dont want it to automatically disable the O/D but make it an option like disabling the TPMS system

i guess that would be great if you never drove on the interstate. But if Superchips did that as like a software update then I wouldnt be opposed to it by any means.

i see it greatly helping with me personally when i go on longer trips on interstates adn all. Around town i use it about 50/50 but i would love not to be annoyed by the yellow light while on long trips. I don't have the flashpaq (yet) but this option alone wouldn't be the determining factor, just another neat little option. I chose yes above simply to have another control over the annoying programming of the computer.

X2. I guess it's too much effort ???

Besides, thanks to the Flashpaq and my 5.13 gears, the O/D works exactly as it should.

I am shocked more people don run with O/D off.
This thread is really directed towards people that run 35" or greater tires and have 3.21/3.73 gearing on auto trans that either doesn't want to or cannot afford a $1,000 - $2,000 gear swap.

My O/D is useless.. I press the button so much that the markings on it are worn off and I need to push the button as much as 10 times before it shuts it off.
My JK with O/D off runs 2,300 RPM's at 65MPH which is perfect.

Yea but I've been wanting to buy a flashpaq anyway so if it had an od off function, that would probably push me to finally buy it
