Default Beating on my starter!

Lets hope the name gets attention haha. My starter "maybe solonoid" locked up on me this weekend, so i climbed under it and hit it with a hammer a couple times as someone turned it over, and it cranked right up. was it a short term thing, or is the starter going bad, and do i need to replace it?

I dunno what they will cost you but i would look at going to a parts store and buying new with lifetime warranty

is it pretty easy? only pulling a couple bolts and two plugs, and lining it up to put the new one on. the only problem is that its pretty tucked up under the starter

Yes! To clarify, the negative cable at the battery, first.

You just need to pull one cable off. Doesn't matter which one. You can really buy oem starter for $79???? That's a helleva deal!!!!
