Default Finding the sweet spot from 1st to 2nd gear....

Is it just me or do the 6spds seem to have a very hard to find, sweet spot, shifting from 1st to 2nd?
I've driven other manuals before, but my JK is very very picky! It wants it just right.....

It will be fine after it's broken in a little. I used to complain about the 6 speed compared to my TJ's with the NV3550; however, with 15,000 miles on it now, I think it performs well.

Mine works best in the 2,500 to 3,000 rpm range.

I agree it just needs a few more miles on it, mine was like that to when it was new. now i get to start all over again in a few weeks.

48,000 and mine is still like that. I've completely given up on shifting from 1st to 2nd. I pretty much start in 2nd, or shift from first to 3rd.

My syncros won't mesh at 2500 rpm at all going from 1-2, gotta be below 2000

it's a real pain

Ive been driving manuals since i started driving, and these are the hardest damn things to drive lol!! I think alot has to do with the fly-by-wire!! Mine only has 1500 miles on it and the tranny isnt smooth at all!!

I'm a short shifter in mine, 2000rpm shift points around town, real easy throttle. Seems to take it just fine with the 4.10s.

12,000 miles and mine shifts just fine. I'm honestly not recognizing what 1st-to-2nd issue you could be talking about.

I agree with GoodysGotaCuda, i shift generally below 2000 and never have a problem, but at high rpm you have to let the rpm settle before shifting, hope yours settles down and behaves!
